This is a recipe from Emeril Lagasse. It's a great dessert using fresh, local spring fruit. The rhubarb is tart and the strawberries are sweet so it has a nice balance. The Cointreau adds a nice zing!

We grew up on my mom's classic apple crisp. I added pears to the filling, along with a warm, sweet Indian spice blend called vindaloo. (It's equally good with Chinese five-spice powder, or any basic baking spice such as cinnamon or powdered ginger.) Pecans and oats add texture to the buttery brown sugar topping.
