Spinach and cheddar quiche by Cosmo1162I had a leftover pie crust from a custard peach pie, and leftover heavy cream from a Russian cream dessert. I also had some spinach on hand so I decided to find a way to turn them all into something delicious. I ended up with this elegant quiche based loosely on Julia Child's recipe. |

German Pancakes by lhuffmanMy best friend's mother would make this for us for breakfast when I would spend the night. I loved it then and still love it now. It is easy and a kid-friendly breakfast. I serve it with fresh lemon juice and powered sugar or jams or syrups or even peanut butter. Fresh fruit and bacon or sausage also compliments it. |

Orangish Chocolatish Cinnamon Rolls by Hina GujralCinnamon rolls were in my baking list from a long time but don't know why I never made them though I really really love them, in my opinion they are one of the perfect treats to enjoy with coffee and they fit in so well in the breakfast, brunch and tea time menu, they are soft, fluffy, buttery and full of cinnamon. |

Eggless Chocolate and Walnut Scones by Hina GujralThese scottish beauties are so easy to bake at home and it's just a matter of few minutes when scones are in your table straight from the oven. In my definition, scones are something between cookie and a muffin, the crumbly outer texture reminds of cookie and softer interior is more like muffin. |

English Malt Bread by Denise SherinTasty, hearty fiber bread. Good with a cup or coffee or tea in the morning. Yummy way to add fiber to your diet. Recipe calls for self -rise flour but if you don't have self rise just use 1 cup of all-purpose flour and add 1 tsp of baking powder and a 1/2 tsp of salt. Recipe also requires a 1 hour soak of the cereal. |

There always seems to be something wrong with what comes out, it’s either too dry, too moist, too chewy, funny tasting… I’ve finally managed to bake a cake from scratch that is light and… |
