Ingredients
- 18 Chocolate & Cream Filled Sandwich Cookies
- 3 Tablespoons Butter
- Cake:
- 2- 1.75 Quart Flavored Ice Cream. Use 2 different kinds (Moose Traxx, Peanut Butter,Vanilla, Chocolate)
- 2 Favorite Large Candy Bars, Chopped. (Butter Finger, Snickers, Peanut Butter Cups)
- 12 Ounces Frozen Whipped Topping, Thawed
- Caramel or Fudge Ice cream Topping
- Chocolate Syrup

%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThen%20it%20closed.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo%20I%20had%20to%20figure%20out%20how%20to%20make%20their%20ice%20cream%20cake%20myself.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECuz%20it%E2%80%99s%20just%20not%20a%20real%20Birthday%20party%20without%20this%20creamy,%20melty,%20gooey%20sweet%20kinda%20ice%20cream%20cake.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20first%20tried%20out%20my%20ice%20cream%20cake%20experiment%20a%20few%20years%20ago%20for%20my%20daughter%E2%80%99s%20Birthday,%20shortly%20after%20our%20DQ%20closed.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIt%20was%20soo%20good.%20%20Everyone%20said%20it%20tasted%20better%20than%20the%20original.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBut%20that%20same%20week,%20%20my%20Manly%20Man%20got%20into%20a%20major%20scary%20accident%20with%20his%20truck.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E(Ambulances%20&%20Hospitals%20kinda%20diminish%20the%20whole%20wow%20factor%20of%20making%20your%20own%20ice%20cream%20cake.)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo%E2%80%A6..I%20sort%20of%20forgot%20all%20about%20how%20the%20whole%20ice%20cream%20cake%20thing.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFast%20forward%20about%203%20years.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20decided%20to%20resurrect%20my%20ice%20cream%20cake%20%20recipe%20last%20month%20for%20my%20Dad%E2%80%99s%20Birthday.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHUGE%20HIT.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThen%20I%20made%20this%20heavenly%20sweet%20cake%20once%20again%20this%20month%20for%20my%20daughter%E2%80%99s%20b-day.%20%20It%E2%80%99s%20fun%20to%20mix%20up%20the%20ice%20cream%20flavors%20and%20candy%20bars%20to%20make%20a%20completely%20different%20cake.%20(I%20used%20peanut%20butter%20ice%20cream%20with%20crushed%20peanut%20butter%20cups%20%20for%20my%20dad%E2%80%99s%20cake%20and%20Butterfinger%20candy%20bars%20with%20a%20%E2%80%9Ccandy%20bar%20explosion%E2%80%9D%20flavored%20ice%20cream.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E(Why%20do%20I%20need%20to%20make%20start%20making%20weight%20watchers%20recipes%20again?)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGee,%20I%20wonder.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECopycat%20Dairy%20Queen%20Ice%20Cream%20Cake%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECrust:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETo%20Make%20Crust:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20sealed%20(%20gallon%20size)%20Ziploc%20Bag,%20crush%20cookies%20until%20crumbly.%20%20Melt%20butter%20and%20mix%20with%20cookie%20crumbs.%20%20Press%20Crumb%20Mixture%20onto%20bottom%20of%20a%209%E2%80%B3%20Springform%20Pan.%20%20Freeze%20for%2015%20Minutes%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETo%20Make%20Cake:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESet%20out%20ice%20cream%20on%20counter%20to%20soften%20for%20approx.%2020-30%20minutes.%20%20Ice%20cream%20should%20be%20soft,%20not%20liquefied.%20%20Spread%20one%20container%20of%20softened%20ice%20cream%20over%20the%20cookie%20crust%20until%20smooth.%20%20Sprinkle%20with%20Chopped%20Candy%20Bar%20and%20drizzle%20with%20fudge%20or%20caramel%20ice%20cream%20topping.%20%20Top%20with%202nd%20container%20of%20ice%20cream.%20Smooth.%20%20Cover%20with%20Aluminum%20Foil%20and%20Freeze%20for%203%20Hours%20or%20Overnight.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETopping:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOnce%20frozen,%20Remove%20the%20cake%20from%20pan%20by%20running%20a%20water%20dipped%20knife%20around%20the%20edge%20of%20the%20ice%20cream%20cake.%20%20Release%20Collar%20from%20Pan.%20%20Frost%20top%20and%20sides%20of%20cake%20with%20thawed%20whipped%20topping.%20%20Freeze%20for%201%20Hour.%20%20When%20ready%20to%20serve,%20sprinkle%20cake%20with%20additional%20toppings,%20(candy%20bars,%20cookies,%20be%20creative!)%20and%20drizzle%20with%20chocolate%20syrup.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPlace%20Cake%20in%20Refrigerator%2010%20minutes%20before%20slicing.%20%20Serves%2012%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EStay%20Hungry,%20My%20Friends%E2%80%A6..%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERelated%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
