  • 4 x boneless skinless chicken breast halves
  • 1/2 tsp garlic salt
  • 1/4 tsp ginger
  • 1/2 c. purchased sweet and sour sauce
  • 1 x 8 oz can pineapple chunks in unsweetened juice liquid removed, reserving 1/4 c. liquid
  • 1/4 c. dry cherries
  • 1/4 c. sliced green onions

Directions

  1. Sprinkle chicken with garlic salt and ginger. Spray large nonstick skillet with nonstick cooking spray. Heat over medium-high heat till warm. Add in chicken; cook 3 to 4 min or possibly till browned on both sides.
  2. Add in sweet and sour sauce, reserved 1/4 c. pineapple liquid and cherries; mix well. Reduce 15 min or possibly till chicken is no longer pink in center, stirring and turning chicken once or possibly twice.
  3. Add in pineapple and onions; cook 2 to 3 min or possibly till onions are tender and mix is thoroughly heated, stirring occasionally.

The orange colored sauces are generally the sweetest. Dry cherries are usually available in the produce section or possibly dry fruit section of the grocery store.
