Directions

  1. Blend butter and sugar until light and fluffy
  2. Stir in egg and vanilla
  3. Combine flour, soda and salt in a separate bowl.
  4. Add to wet ingredients and mix until well blended.
  5. Scrape dough onto plastic wrap and roll into a log about 2 1/2 inch wide
  6. Completely wrap in plastic wrap
  7. Refrigerate overnight until firm
  8. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  9. cut dough into 1/8 inch thick slices and place them on ungreased cookie sheet.
  10. Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
