  • Mustard seeds – 1/2 teaspoon
  • A pinch of asafoetida or hing
  • Methi dana or fenugreek seeds – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Green chillies – 2 (chopped finely)
  • Ginger or adrak – 1 inch small piece – (grated or chopped finely)
