7 Up Cake Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 c. Crisco shorting
- 1/2 c. butter
- 2 3/4 sugar
- 5 large eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 c. cake flour
- 2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 c. 7up soda
- Frosting:
- 1/2 stick butter
- 4 ounce cream cheese
- 1 pound box powdered sugar
- 2 teaspoon lemon flavor
- walnuts or possibly pecans (optional)
Directions
- Blend Crisco, butter and sugar add in large eggs one at a time beating well after each egg add in soda and flour gradually. Bake at 325 degrees oven for 1/2 hour.
- Blend cream and butter, sift sugar. Add in flavor beating till smooth. Frost cake while it's warm. Add in walnuts or possibly pecans if you like.
