About me
I lead a very active life as a Register Nurse, and being a wife to a man who can’t slow down . My wonderful husband and I have enjoyed the blessings of 4 kids, that have multiplied to 8 adults with 9 beautiful grandkids. With all of our children grown and moving on with life’s of their own, we find that dinner is for just two. ( Ok, three if you count the big yellow dog that tries to convince us that he is really a person!)
I find myself trying to relearn favorite recipes in smaller quantity. I find that I am open to new ideas that I would have never put on the table with the kids. Saving money is a must. No left over food is a plus, because they turn into science projects. (Don’t need a 2000 pound big yellow dog! Yes he will eat anything.) The less time I have to cook, and least amount of clean up makes me happy!
Cooking Influences
I grew up with a Military father, who raise his kids in a Military life style. With the guidance of my Mother and Father, I had the blessed opportunity to meet people that were born and raise throughout the world. Family picnics and company gatherings gave me the opportunity to see the world outside our front door. Falling in love with food for me was a natural event, and then I married a man that loves food more than I do!
