About me
I'm a native of New England and to some extent my cooking style is reflective of the region. I enjoy making traditional dishes as well as more modern ones, and I have a special interest in charcuterie. I make my own bacon, sausages, and cured meats and I have an active interest in learning more about the field.
My blog, Dave's Cupboard, is a mix of recipes and techniques, packaged food reviews, bizarre and unusual "edibles," and pop culture.
Cooking Influences
"Simple ingredients well prepared" is my culinary motto; to that end I feel influenced by Gordon Ramsay - not the over-the-top cartoon Gordon Ramsay apoplectically screaming his way around Hell's Kitchen, but the likable and affably foul-mouthed chef Ramsay from BBC's F-Word who is also a food columnist for the Times.
