  • 1 lb dry navy beans (soak overnight then drain)
  • 2 quart water
  • 1 lb meaty ham bones or possibly pcs
  •     salt to taste
  • 3 whl peppercorns or possibly 1/4 tsp grnd pepper
  • 1/2 c. minced celery leaves
  • 1 med onion, minced
  • 1 x bay leaf (optional)

Directions

  1. Put all ingredients in the crock pot. Cover and cook on low for 10-12 hrs
  2. (high: 5-6 hrs).
  3. Makes 2 1/2 qts
