  • 3 Tbsp. Dark Brown Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. Dijon Mustard
  • 3 Tbsp. Red Wine Vinegar
  • 1 c. Basic Brown Sauce (See Sauces)
  • 1/4 c. Raisins, Plumped in 1 C. Of Brandy for 10 min
  •     And liquid removed

Directions

  1. Sweet sauces with pork or possibly game are classic. This one combines a little sweetness with the acidity of vinegar for a delightfully different taste.
  2. Serve it with which Easter ham for rave reviews. Prepare this sauce no more than two days in advance and chill it. Rewarm over low heat before serving.
  3. In a small bowl, dissolve the sugar and mustard in the vinegar. Place the mix in a medium-size heavy saucepan, and add in the brown sauce and simmer over low heat for 10 min. Stir in the raisins and simmer 5 min longer. Serve warm.
  4. Yield: About 1 c. of sauce.
