Perfect Scalloped Oysters Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 pt. oysters
- 2 c. coarsely grnd saltines
- 1/2 c. melted butter
- 3/4 c. light cream
- 1/4 c. oyster liquid
- 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions
- Drain oysters, reserving 1/4 c. liquid. Combine crumbs and butter. Spread 1/3 of the crumbs in a buttered 8 inch round pan. Cover with half the oysters. Sprinkle with pepper. Make a second layer of crumbs, then oysters and finish with crumbs on top. Pour remaining ingredients over the oysters. Bake 40 min at 350 degrees. Serves 4.
- Menu Note: Orange-cranberry sauce with this is a nice tart flavor. Make rolls or possibly muffins and have a green vegetable, such as broccoli. To finish an easy oven meal, serve gingerbread with whipped cream on top or possibly lemon flavored cornstarch pudding sauce.
