- 12oz (350gr) ground beef (mince)
- 1 red pepper
- 1 large onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/4 cup sherry
- 1/4 cup beef stock
- 15oz (450gr) whole tomatoes
- 2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp basil
- 1 tbs olive oil
- 1/3 cup green and black olives, mixed
- 2 tbs capers
- 3oz (90gr) feta
- 3.5oz (100gr) linguine

%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHe%20said:%20everything.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAlways%20one%20to%20please%20I%20made%20him%20a%20sandwich.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOn%20one%20slice%20of%20bread%20I%20spread%20ketchup,%20mustard,%20horseradish%20and%20mayonnaise.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOn%20the%20other%20slice%20I%20spread%20peanut%20butter%20and%20jelly.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThen%20I%20layered%20ham,%20liver%20sausage,%20cheese%20(Velveeta%20if%20my%20memory%20serves)%20pickles,%20onions,%20tomato,%20maraschino%20cherries,%20a%20bit%20of%20smoked%20carp%20and%20there%20might%20have%20been%20some%20pickled%20herring.....%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20smashed%20some%20potato%20chips%20on%20top%20for%20crunch,%20slapped%20the%20whole%20lot%20together,%20cut%20it%20into%20dainty%20quarters%20and%20gave%20it%20to%20him.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHe%20ate%20it.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThen%20he%20asked%20for%20another....%20Just%20like%20it.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIdentical,%20please.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDon't%20leave%20anything%20out.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHe%20sure%20knew%20how%20to%20take%20the%20fun%20out%20of%20a%20good%20plan...%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETrust%20me,%20this%20pasta%20tastes%20much%20better%20than%20that%20sandwich.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGood%20enough,%20in%20fact,%20that%20I%20decided%20it%20was%20worthy%20of%20the%20150th%20Presto%20Pasta%20Nights.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E150%20weeks%20of%20delicious%20pasta!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20event%20was%20founded%20long,%20long%20ago%20by%20Ruth,%20of%20Once%20Upon%20a%20Feast.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIt's%20being%20hosted%20this%20week%20by%20Susan,%20of%20The%20Well-Seasoned%20Cook.%20%20Visit%20her%20blog%20on%20Friday%20for%20a%20recap%20of%20all%20the%20lovely%20pasta%20dishes%20from%20around%20the%20world.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYou%20can%20enjoy%20this%20one%20early.....%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECook%20pasta%20according%20to%20package%20directions.%20%20When%20done,%20drain.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERoughly%20chop%20the%20pepper%20and%20onion.%20%20Mince%20the%20garlic.%20%20Roughly%20chop%20tomatoes,%20reserving%20all%20juices.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHeat%201%20tbs%20oil%20in%20nonstick%20skillet.%20Add%20the%20paprika,%20onion,%20pepper,%20garlic,%20and%20saut%C3%A9%20over%20medium%20heat%20for%205%20minutes.%20%20Add%20the%20beef%20and%20saut%C3%A9,%20breaking%20it%20up%20as%20it%20browns.%20%20Add%20the%20tomatoes,%20juices,%20sherry,%20stock%20and%20herbs.%20%20Bring%20to%20a%20boil,%20reduce%20heat%20and%20simmer,%20uncovered%20until%20the%20sauce%20reduces%20and%20thickens,%20about%2020%20minutes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPit%20and%20roughly%20chop%20the%20olives.%20Cube%20the%20feta.%20%20Stir%20the%20olives%20and%20capers%20into%20the%20sauce%20and%20simmer%20another%20minute.%20%20Remove%20sauce%20from%20heat%20and%20gently%20stir%20in%20feta.%20%20Spoon%20over%20pasta%20and%20serve.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
