Pa Dutch Bacon Salad Dressing Aka Widow Maker Recipe

Ingredients
- 1/2 lb bacon
- 2 x Large eggs
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 5 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 c. vinegar
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 c. cream
- Â Â hard boiled Large eggs optional
Directions
- Cut bacon in tiny pcs & fry. Set aside half of bacon. Beat Large eggs, add in salt, sugar, vinegar and water. Beat well and add in to the bacon and bacon fat in pan. Remove from fire and add in cream. Pour over lettuce, garnish with minced hard boiled egg and rest of bacon.
- Cooks Notes: Great with spinach salad. Very thick a little goes an awfully long way, not like the runny stuff you find in stores. I use a full lb. of bacon in this recipe.
- NOTES : Deirdre says: This is a great one!! I only make it at Christmas as I claim if you tried to eat it more than once a year it would kill you.
