Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. mayonnaise
  • 1/2 tsp brown mustard (French's "Hearty Deli" is good)
  • 1 x sesame seed hamburger bun
  • 1/4 lb grnd beef
  • 1 slc American cheese
  • 1 x tomato slice - (to 2)
  • 1 x lettuce leave - (to 2) minced
  • 1/2 Tbsp. ketchup
  • 2 Tbsp. minced onion

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise and the brown mustard. Set aside.
  2. Grill the face of each of the buns on a griddle or possibly frying pan over medium heat. Roll the grnd beef into a ball and pat it out till it's approximately the same diameter as the bun. Cook meat on warm griddle or possibly frying pan for about 5 min per side or possibly till done. Be sure to lightly salt and pepper each side of the patty.
  3. Build the burger in the following order, from the bottom up: On Bottom Bun; - beef patty - American cheese slice - 1 to 2 tomato slices - lettuce.
  4. On Top Bun; - mayo/mustard - ketchup - onions.
  5. Slap the top onto the bottom and serve warm.
  6. This recipe yields 1 burger.
  7. NOTES : If you can find thick-sliced pepper bacon in your supermarket, you can add in it to the burger just as you could at the restaurant chain. Cut one slice in half after cooking and place the slices next to each other onto the bottom bun before the beef patty when building the burger.
