Directions

  1. Sift flour and baking pwdr together then add in sugar and cut Crisco into mix. Add in just sufficient lowfat milk to dampen dough. Knead dough a few min and divide into 6 equal pcs. Set aside. Thoroughly mash boiled sweet potatoes adding sugar, butter, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Whip to remove lumps and strings.
  2. Then roll each piece of dough to a pie-crust thinness and about 8 inch diameter on a floured surface. On each piece, place generous amount of sweet potatoes mix on one half then flip over and crimp edges with fork to close. Bake on greased cookie sheet in 350 degree oven for 20 to 25 min. (Note: May be sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon before baking.)
