GLUTEN FREE PORK TAMALES Recipe

By adding the juices from the pork meat to this makes this a great tasting treat!

  1. MEAT:
  2. 1 pork butt or roast
  3. 1 gluten free taco seasoning packet or seasonings
  4. 1 can rotel or diced peppers
  5. 1 white onion chopped
  6. place all the above in crock pot till meat falls apart( save the juice)
  7. MASA:
  8. I used 5 cups masa
  9. 1 cup Crisco (not oil)
  10. 3 cups saved juice from the meat
  11. 1 tbsp garlic powder
  12. 1 tbsp chili powder
  13. 1 tbsp paprika
  14. mix well ( I use my kitchen aid)
  15. CORN HUSKS:
  16. place corn husks in warm water for 30-60 minutes, till soft, gently take apart and clean if needed, you can also buy parchment paper husks that work I think even better. THIS MAKES ABOUT 30-40 TAMALES
