Firehouse Popcorn With Joe Recipe

Ingredients
- 5 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 2 x jalapeno peppers sliced
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 c. popcorn
- 2 tsp coarse salt - (to 3 tspns)
- 1/2 tsp grnd cumin
- 1/8 tsp cayenne
Directions
- Heat oil and jalapenos in a heavy-bottomed pot over high heat till simmering, about 2 min. Remove peppers from oil, add in turmeric, and stir to combine. Add in popcorn, and cover pot. Shake over high heat till popcorn stops popping, about 2 min. Transfer popcorn to a large bowl. Sprinkle with salt, cumin, and cayenne. Serve immediately.
