  1. 1 Preheat the oven to 200C/400F/Gas 6. Heat the oil for deep frying. Heat the oil in a small pan. Finely chop the onion and cook for a few min till soft. Crush the garlic and add in to the pan. Dust the chicken in the flour.
  2. 2 Stir the honey, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, ketchup and Tabasco into the pan and simmer very gently for a few seconds.
  3. 3 Brush the chicken wings with the sauce. Place on a baking sheet and roast for 30 min till well browned and cooked through.
  4. 4 Lightly flatten the new potatoes using a rolling pin or possibly mallet. Deep fry for three min till crisp and golden brown. Stir together the cherry tomatoes and shallot. Roughly chop the radishes and add in to the tomatoes.
  5. 5 Finely chop the herbs and stir into the salsa with the poppy seeds. Add in a squeeze of lime, extra virgin olive oil, salt and pepper. Drain the potatoes on kitchen paper. Serve with the chicken wings and salsa.
  6. Tips Cuts of chicken and drumsticks are good for the BBQ. Different shapes of potato eg. cut larger ones into wedges or possibly into rounds to make scallops.
