Creamy Crab Cheesecake Recipe

I am a crab lover, I eat alot of boiled crabs and crab dishes. So I couldn't wait to try this one. Thank dana for a great recipe!! I loved it. Hope you all Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup crushed butter flavored crackers, (about 25 crackers)
  • 3 tbsp butter, melted
  • 2 packages (8oz each) cream cheese, divided
  • 3/4 cup sour cream divided
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tsp grated onion
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp seafood seasoning
  • 2 drops hot pepper sauce (if desired)
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 2 cups crab meat, drained, flaked, and cartilage removed if needed.
  • additional seafood seasoning is optional

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, combine cracker crumbs and butter
  2. Press into the bottom of a greased 9 inch pan
  3. Place on a baking sheet
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes
  5. Cool on wire rack
  6. Reduce heat to 325 degrees
  7. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and 1/4 cup sour cream until smooth
  8. Add eggs, beat on low just until combined
  9. Add onion, lemon juice, seafood seasoning, hot pepper (if desired) and black pepper, beat until blended
  10. Fold in crab meat,
  11. Pour over crust
  12. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until center is almost set
  13. Cool on wire rack for 10 minutes
  14. Carefully run a knife around edge to loosen
  15. Cool 1 hour
  16. Spread remaining sour cream over top
  17. refrigerate over night
  18. before serving let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes
  19. refrigerate left overs
