  • 2 can (1-lb) pitted sour cherries (NOT in syrup!) Liquid from cherries Water
  • 3/4 c. Sugar, (depends on how sweet you like things) (up to 1)
  • 1 x Cinnamon stick
  • 3/4 c. Dry red wine
  • 1 Tbsp. Arrowroot
  • 2 Tbsp. Cool water
  • 1/4 c. Heavy cream, chilled

  2. Combine liquid from cherries plus water to equal 3 c., wine, sugar, and cinnamon in large pot. Cover and simmer for 20 min. Add in cherries and simmer 10 more min. Remove cinnamon.
