  • 1 x Lemon and 1 orange, zest of
  • 1 1/2 pt Dry strong cider
  • 2 ounce Soft brown sugar
  • 2 x Cinnamon sticks
  • 4 x Cloves
  • 2 x Blades of mace, dry
  • 1 x 1 inch slice root ginger, peeled
  • 1 tsp Grated nutmeg
  • 3 Tbsp. Brandy
  • 2 x Apples, cored and sliced

Directions

  1. Put the lemon and orange zest, cider, sugar and spices into a deep-sided pan and hot through for about 10 min. Add in the brandy and reheat gently. Serve with sliced fresh apples.
