Directions

  1. Wash the rice. Soak in water for 1 hour. Drain. Wash the bamboo shoots, sliver, parboil, and drain. Shell the peas.
  2. Combine all the ingredients. Bring to a boil. Cover, and reduce heat, and simmer for 15 min. Turn off heat, and allow to stand for 12 min. Don't peek, till the time is up.
  3. Uncover, then fluff with a wooden spatula. Serve.
