Ingredients
- Baked Penne & Beecher's Flagship Cheese with Spicy Lamb Sausage -or-
- Mac N' Cheese with Sausage (depends on whether you're feeling fancy or not)
- 16 oz. penne pasta
- 1/2 lb. spicy lamb sausage (merguez would work as well)
- 3 cups half and half
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 3 Tbsp AP flour
- kosher salt and fresh ground black pepper tt
- 1 tsp pimenton picante
- 2 1/2 - 3 cups Beecher's Smoked Flagship cheese, grated (or mix it up with your favorites)
- 1 cup fine bread crumbs
- 1 Tbsp butter, melted

%20Everyone%20is%20probably%20hungry%20all%20the%20time.%202)%20Why%20just%20make%20a%20little%20bit%20when%20you%20can%20make%20more%20than%20enough%20to%20feed%20the%20whole%20neighborhood?%203)%20If%20you're%20not%20currently%20eating%20there%20must%20be%20a%20problem.%20I%20don't%20know%20how%20many%20times%20in%20my%20childhood%20I%20heard%20%22Why%20aren't%20you%20eating?%20Are%20you%20sick?%22%20Ummm,%20I%20just%20ate%20breakfast%2020%20freaking%20minutes%20ago.%20That's%20why%20I'm%20not%20hungry.%20Let%20a%20kid%20rest%20without%20a%20sandwich%20in%20their%20hand.%20Sheesh.%20So%20yes,%20I%20have%20become%20like%20her.%20I%20have%20adopted%20the%20very%20same%20rules%20that%20plagued%20me%20my%20whole%20life.%20I%20make%20too%20much%20food,%20all%20the%20time,%20and%20I%20can't%20moderately%20portion%20food%20to%20save%20my%20life.%20I%20just%20hope%20my%20aging,%20rusty%20metabolism%20keeps%20puttering%20along.%20I%20guess,%20in%20a%20way,%20it%20is%20comforting%20to%20know%20that%20there%20is%20always%20something%20comforting%20to%20snack%20on.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPreheat%20oven%20to%20350%20degrees%20F.%20Grease%20a%209%20x%2012%20baking%20dish.%20Cook%20pasta%20in%20salted%20boiling%20water%20until%20cooked%20al%20dente.%20Set%20aside.%20Meanwhile,%20brown%20sausage%20whole%20in%20a%20skillet%20until%20just%20cooked%20through.%20Let%20the%20meat%20rest%20before%20slicing.%20Heat%20butter%20in%20a%20heavy%20saucepan%20over%20medium-high%20heat.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhisk%20in%20the%20flour%20making%20sure%20there%20are%20no%20lumps%20and%20cook%20the%20roux,%20stirring%20occasionally,%20for%202-3%20minutes.%20Whisk%20in%20half%20and%20half,%20stirring%20constantly,%20until%20thickened,%20about%203%20minutes.%20Season%20with%20salt%20and%20pepper%20and%20add%20pimenton.%20Remove%20from%20heat.%20Stir%20in%20the%20cheese%20until%20melted.%20Pour%20pasta%20into%20cheese%20sauce.%20Add%20sausage.%20Mix%20well.%20Pour%20into%20prepared%20pan.%20Combine%20bread%20crumbs%20and%20the%20Tbsp%20of%20melted%20butter.%20Sprinkle%20over%20macaroni%20and%20cheese.%20Bake%2030%20minutes%20until%20golden%20brown.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
