My local Kroger’s did not have this! So one of the employees Googled it for me! He came back with a list of ingredients and directions to make it. So I made it. It is fairly simple to make, you put in the ingredients, bring to a boil then lower heat and simmer for 25 to 30 mins. The directions said to skim off any foam...I didn't really experience this!??... Tastes great though! I think it would go well on a lot of foods. Perhaps to even marinade some type of meat.
    1 cup catsup
    ½ cup worchershire
    ½ cup sake
    2 tblspn ground ginger
    2 tblspn ground garlic
    ¼ cup sugar
¼ cup mirin (Kroger also didn’t carry this product, but it can be substituted with Cream Sherry)
Makes 3 cups, and will keep for 4 weeks refrigerated.
I've cooked/tasted recipes with this ingredient!
    This is a variation
