Pickling spice by John Spottiswood.

pickling spice To make your own: Combine 1/4 C each mustard seeds, dill seeds, and coriander seeds, 2 tablespoons each crushed chili peppers and bay leaves, and 1 tablespoon each celery seeds and white peppercorns.
