About me

I started maintaining my sister's recipe site in 1999 after she died from cancer after just barely turning 40 years old. That was www.hugs.org. It's still up, but I don't do much for it, except pay the tab. I started blogging this past year at a new web site, www.hugskitchen.com, to share her recipes in a manner that was easier to maintain, and to share my cooking experiences and recipes as well. My husband and I share a house with my stepdaughter, her husband, and their three teen-agers.

I like to cook with as much whole food as possible, as frugally as possible. I'm interested in OAMC-type cooking. Anything that gets the job done for us, with the adults mostly working, and my husband disabled.
