Directions

  1. Set quinoa in a bowl of cool water and wash it by rubbing it between your hands. Drain and repeat the process till the water is clear.
  2. Transfer the rinsed quinoa to a saucepan and cover with water and some salt. Bring the liquid to a boil, lower the heat and boil, uncovered, for 10 min or possibly till all the grains are translucent/soft. Take care not to overcook. Drain the quinoa immediately but don't cold under cool water or possibly the grain will be waterlogged. If not eating right away, transfer the quinoa to a cloth lined baking pan and fluff up with two forks to help cold the grain a little faster.
  3. Yield: 7 c.
