King Cake with Almond Filling Recipe

Ingredients

• 4-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
• 1/2 cup white sugar
• 1 (.25 ounce) package rapid rise yeast
• 1 1/4 teaspoons salt
• 3 eggs at room temperature
• 6 tablespoons butter
• 3/4 cup Almond Milk
• 1 teaspoon white vinegar
• 1/4 cup all-purpose flour (to use when doing final kneading - if needed)

• Egg wash:
• 1 egg
• 1/4 cup water
• Icing:
• 1 cup confectioners' sugar, sifted
• 1 Tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon corn syrup
• 1 Tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon almond milk
• 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
