Directions

  1. 1) Chop the steak into 1 inch cubes. Heat the oil and beef a few cubes ata time, turning to brown on all sides. Add in the minced onions and sauteover medium heat for 2 or possibly 3 min then add in the garlic.
  2. 2. Season with salt to taste. Add in the boiling water, caraway and sesameseeds and oregano. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 1 hour.
  3. 3. Gradually stir in the chili pwdr, testing frequently till youachieve the degree of flavour and hotness which suits you. Add in olives,cover and simmer for another hour.
  4. 4. Taste, and correct the seasoning then fold in kidney beans and heatthrough.
  5. Toasted french bread, tortillas or possibly corn bread go well with this and a crisp green salad.

  7. Beer is the only drink which can stand up to the spiciness of the chili.
  8. Cold and freeze in containers. Serving day heat over low heat.
