%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAlso,%20Valentines%20day%20is%20just%20around%20the%20corner%20and%20I%20had%20this%20huge%20craving%20to%20have%20something%20chocolatey...no%20nuts%20or%20anything%20just%20pure%20chocolatey.......I%20came%20across%20a%20brownie%20recipe%20from%20%20Bon%20App%C3%A9tit%20by%20Alice%20Medrich%20I%20love%20brownies....but%20most%20recipe%20calls%20for%20cooking%20chocolate%20which%20is%20very%20expensive%20here%20.....when%20I%20read%20the%20recipe%20I%20found%20it%20was%20made%20with%20cocoa%20powder%20and%20melted%20browned%20butter....well%20that%20looked%20really%20appealing%20to%20me....that%20means%20no%20need%20to%20bring%20butter%20to%20room%20temp....just%20take%20it%20from%20fridge%20and%20melt%20them...wow....again%20the%20recipe%20called%20for%20walnuts.....which%20are%20also%20very%20expensive%20here...and%20my%20kids%20and%20walnuts%20do%20not%20get%20along.....they%20wanted%20chocolate%20in%20every%20crumb%20no%20interference%20from%20walnuts%20or%20cashewnuts...so%20I%20omited%20them......I%20made%20it%20exactly%20as%20the%20recipe%20says%20(I%20doubled%20the%20measurement%20because%20I%20wanted%20FAT%20brownies%20and%20not%20thin%20ones....and%20guys%20no%20need%20to%20powder%20the%20sugar....just%20dump%20them%20into%20the%20melted%20butter%20along%20with%20the%20cocoa......%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThese%20brownies%20are%20soft%20and%20gooey%20inside,%20chewy%20on%20the%20outside,%20and%20PERFECTLY%20moist.%20The%20browned%20butter%20is%20the%20most%20unique%20aspect%20of%20the%20recipe......so%20ready%20for%20that%20chocolate%20overdose???%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EButter:%20250%20gms.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESugar:%202%201/2%20cups.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EUnsweetened%20cocoa%20powder:%201%201/2%20cups%20(I%20used%20Cadbury's%20cocoa).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EVanilla%20extrat:%202%20tsp.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWater:%204%20teaspoons%20(%20I%20used%20around%202/3%20cup%20of%20water%20as%20u%20can%20see%20in%20the%20pic%20the%20batter%20was%20crumbly%20at%20first%20so%20I%20added%20more%20water%20to%20make%20it%20creamy).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESalt.%201/2%20teaspoon.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMethod:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1.%20Preheat%20oven.%20Line%20a%20baking%20tray%20with%20foil,%20leaving%20a%20slight%20overhanging%20on%20two%20sides%20and%20grease%20it.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E2.%20Melt%20250%20gms%20of%20butter%20in%20a%20medium%20pan,%20over%20medium%20heat,%20once%20the%20butter%20has%20melted,%20continue%20stirring%20for%205%20minutes%20until%20the%20butter%20has%20stopped%20foaming%20and%20begins%20to%20turn%20into%20light%20golden%20brown%20colour.%20(Keep%20close%20eye%20on%20it%20or%20else%20it%20will%20get%20burnt%20quickly....thats%20why%20I%20could%20not%20click%20that%20browning%20butter%20pic%20%20Remove%20from%20heat%20and%20add%201%201/2%20cups%20unsweetened%20cocoa%20powder,%202%201/2%20cup%20sugar,%202%20tsp%20vanilla%20extract,%204%20tbsp%20water,%20and%201/2%20tsp%20salt.%20Stir%20until%20combined.%20(I%20added%20little%20more%20water%20than%20mentioned%20in%20the%20recipe%20to%20make%20it%20smooth).%20Let%20the%20mixture%20cool%20for%205%20min.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E3.%20Meanwhile%20lightly%20beat%204%20eggs%20and%20keep%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E4.%20Add%20the%20eggs%20to%20the%20mixture%20whisking%20continuously%20as%20you%20add%20them%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E5.%20Lastly%20stir%20in%202/3%20cup%20flour%20+%202tbsp%20flour%20and%20beat%20for%201%20or%202%20min%20(%20I%20used%20my%20egg%20beater%20and%20like%20mentioned%20I%20added%20little%20more%20water%20to%20make%20the%20batter%20smooth%20and%20creamy).%20Pour%20into%20the%20prepared%20tray%20and%20bake.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E6.%20I%20baked%20them%20for%2025%20min%20or%20until%20a%20toothpick%20inserted%20into%20the%20center%20comes%20out%20with%20a%20few%20crumbs%20attached%20,%20let%20it%20sit%20on%20the%20tray%20to%20cool,%20%20lift%20the%20brownie%20carefully%20using%20the%20foil%20and%20cut%20immediately%20and%20serve.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EServe%20with%20hot%20milk.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETip:%20Can%20add%20walnuts%20or%20cahewnuts.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20think%20the%20next%20time%20I%20will%20add%20expresso%20powder.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECan%20be%20make%202%20days%20ahead.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELinking%20this%20to%20Full%20plate%20Thursday,%20Recipe%20Swap%20Thursday,%20Dessertwars,%20Made%20from%20scratch.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
