nuwave power dome
i have had my NUWAVE oven for maybe three years or more.. I love it. I keep it on my counter all the time. The only BIG gripe I have with it, is that I have had to replace the dome twice now. I dont understand why they cant make a dome out of tempered glass.

I have had mine for about a year and haven't had that problem but a friend has. She said they did make the original Nuwave with a glass dome but quit making it. Maybe if enough people complained they would make them, but then again, they make far more money with people having to buy replacements. :(
We've had to replace ours as well and this is a common issue. We got a new dome and it almost immediately developed a crack at the right angle between the main part of the dome and the part that attaches to the power head. When we quit using the rack to set it on, no new cracks developed. We wash it often as well. So far, the crack it developed hasn't gotten any bigger and new ones have not started forming. Yet. So, try it when you remove the dome, set it right on the counter, don't use the rack.
And like AmerikinWmn says, there is a built in obsolescence so that people have to keep buying. But that's with everything because that's how capitalism works. Expect it. With everything.
