Groups & Recipe Description

Hi All:

These recommendations are also questions because maybe there's a way to do this already and I didn't realize it...

1. Is there an easier way to add recipes to groups? It's a tedious and clunky task to add recipes to groups.

2. How can I tell what groups I've added my recipe to?

3. Is there a way to edit the description/summary of the recipe posts I've added automatically from my blog?

4. It would be nice if we could change or reposition the photo that gets associated with our recipe.

Thanks for your time. Have a great weekend!! :)

Re: Groups & Recipe Description

No feedback regarding these questions and suggestions. Are there any updates or upgrades being made to CES or is it running on its own. There haven't been any newer features or visual upgrades or updates in a very long time.

Re: Groups & Recipe Description

You have some good points Cristina. Since your blog is linked with this network and from what I have noticed on the blogs linked to CES I feel you have some good points.

It is a tedious task to add recipes to groups and you can't see a list of existing groups each recipe is posted in. If feel you should. As for editing the description/summary, I would think it would automatically change if you change it on your blog. As for repositioning your pictures, I would think the same thing applies. Since CES is linked to it.

My set up is different (no blog), I enter each manually. Not sure if it will help you by explaining what I see in connection to your questions but here's how it works.

#1: As I post recipes manually and save them it gives me an option to add them to a group(s) I'm a member of. It's not as tedious this way. If I already have a recipe posted and wish to add to a group, I just go to "edit" and add it through there because I usually will add it to more than one. Otherwise if it's someone else's, it's just as tedious for me as it is for you; blog or not.

#2: On each posted recipe in the right column as you scroll down it will list each group.

#3: I have a "edit" button to click on to edit any portion of my recipe. Including groups, additional recipe/internet links. Food/beverage parings etc.

#4 : I wish we could reposition the photos because sometimes it's not centered as I like. Otherwise I would have to take new pictures or edit them separately and then repost. Under "edit" we can change it by reposting a new one or adding more. Also, we can add descriptions to our pictures here too.

In some ways there should be continuity, blog or not. Since I'm not in IT/programmer, making these adjustments may be harder than it appears and they haven't found a way yet. Sometimes, there is a glitch that is hard to fix and keep it that repaired, so it keeps coming back. I have seen this occur in other software. I believe there is section on the Home page where you can submit ideas/changes suggestions.

I hope this helps you,
Robyn
