Ingredients

  • 1 (5 or possibly 6 ounce.) pkg. med. noodles
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (6 ounce.) can evaporated lowfat milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 c. diced or possibly shredded cheese (Velveeta or possibly American)
  • 2 c. diced cooked chicken, or possibly can use turkey
  • 1 c. celery, minced
  • 1/4 c. diced green pepper
  • 1/4 c. diced pimento

Directions

  1. Cook noodles till tender. Cook celery and green pepper in small amount of boiling water for 5-10 min. Add in to noodles. Mix soup, lowfat milk, and salt; heat, stirring constantly. Add in cheese and stir till melted. Mix thoroughly with noodles and remaining ingredients. (If you like, may add in 1/4 c. slivered almonds.) Bake uncovered in greased casserole for 30 min at 350 degrees. Top with corn flakes about 10 min before finishes baking. May be frzn. Serves 8.
