Directions

  1. Dissolve jello, sugar and salt in boiling water. Drain cherries, measuring syrup; add in water to make 3/4 c.. Add in syrup and and lemon juice to jello.
  2. Refrigeratetill very thick. Fold half the cherries into 1 c. jello. Pour into large mold. Refrigeratetill set but not hard. Meanwhile, whip remaining jello till fluffy. Mix in whipped cream, remaining cherries and marshmallows.
  3. Spoon into mold. Refrigeratetill hard. Serve with Marshmallow-Mayonnaise topping: Blend 1/3 c. marshmallow cream into 2/3 c. mayonnaise, stirring till smooth.
