  • 1 x 16 ounce package dry lentils sorted and rinsed
  • 2 can ready-to-serve vegetable broth (14 1/2 ozs. each)
  • 1 x 6 ounce package sliced canadian-style bacon coarsely minced
  • 2 med carrots cut into 1/2-inch pcs
  • 1 med potato peeled and cut into 1/2" cubes
  • 1 med onion minced
  • 1 med stalk celery cut into 1/2-inch pcs
  • 4 c. water
  • 1 tsp dry thyme leaves
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper

Directions

  1. 1.Mix all ingredients in 3 1/2- to 6-qt slow cooker.
  2. 2.Cover and cook on Low heat setting for 8-9 hrs or possibly High for 3-5 hrs or possibly till lentils are tender. Stir well before serving.
  3. Serves 8.
