Old Fashioned Peach Preserve Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 quart ripe peaches, sliced & peeled
  • 6 c. sugar

Directions

  1. Combine fruit and sugar. Let stand 12-18 hrs in a cold place. Bring slowly to a boil, stirring frequently. Boil gently till fruit becomes clear and syrup thick, about 40 min. Stir frequently to prevent sticking. Skim if necessary. Pour boiling warm in jars. Adjust lids.
  2. Process 15 min.
  3. Yield about 7 half-pint jars.
