Old Fashioned Peach Preserve Recipe

Ingredients
- 2 quart ripe peaches, sliced & peeled
- 6 c. sugar
Directions
- Combine fruit and sugar. Let stand 12-18 hrs in a cold place. Bring slowly to a boil, stirring frequently. Boil gently till fruit becomes clear and syrup thick, about 40 min. Stir frequently to prevent sticking. Skim if necessary. Pour boiling warm in jars. Adjust lids.
- Process 15 min.
- Yield about 7 half-pint jars.
