Directions

  1. Saute/fry onions and carrots in butter or possibly margarine in a fry pan till tender. Add in flour to make a roux. Add in the bullion cubes to the boiling water. Add in the roux to the water. Use a wire whisk stirring till smooth. Add in the Cheez Whiz, half and half, liquid smoke and salt and pepper. Simmer on low, stirring often for about 20 min. Add in broccoli tops and cook until broccoli is tender, another 25 min.
  2. Serves 8.
