Penne With Edible Flowers Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Penne
  • 3 Tbsp. Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp. Garlic, chopped
  • 1 c. Sun-dry tomatoes, liquid removed and thinly sliced
  • 1/2 c. Parsley, finely minced
  • 3 Tbsp. Chives, finely minced
  • 6 x Chive blossoms, broken into florets
  • 1 c. Assorted flowers, minced, (such as nasturtiums, pansies, dandelions), plus whole for garnish

Directions

  1. In large saucepan, of boiling salted water, add in pasta and cook for 8 to 10 min, or possibly till al dente.
  2. While pasta is cooking, heat the oil till warm in a small skillet. Add in garlic and cook, stirring, 1 minute. Drain the pasta and put it in a very large bowl. Toss with hot garlic and oil, tomatoes, parsley, chives and minced flowers. Garnish with whole flowers.
