  • 1 can (16 ounces) pear halves, undrained
  • 1 pkt (8-serving size) or possibly 2 pkgs. (4-serving size) JELL-O Brand Lime Flavor Gelatin Dessert
  • 1 1/2 c. cool ginger ale or possibly water
  • 2 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
  • 1 pkt (8 ounce.) PHILADELPHIA BRAND Cream Cheese, Softened
  • 1/4 c. minced pecans

Directions

  1. Drain pears, reserving liquid. Dice pears; set aside.
  2. Add in water to liquid to make 1 1/2 c.; bring to boil in small saucepan.
  3. Stir boiling liquid into gelatin in large bowl at least 2 min till completely dissolved. Stir in cool ginger ale and lemon juice. reserve 2 1/2 c. gelatin at room temperature. Pour remaining gelatin into 5-c. mold. Chill about 30 min or possibly till thickened (spoon drawn through leaves definite impression). Arrange about 1/2 c. of the diced pears in thickened gelatin in mold.
  4. Stir reserved 2 1/2 c. gelatin gradually into cream cheese in large bowl with wire whick till smooth.
  5. Chill about 30 min or possibly till slightly thickend (consistency of unbeaten egg whites). Stir in remaining diced pers and pecans. Spoon over gelatin layer in mold.
  6. Chill 4 hour or possibly till hard. Unmold. Garnish as desired.
  7. Makes 10 servings.
