  • 1 1/4 c. all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking pwdr
  • 1/2 c. butter, softened
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 c. rolled oats (quick cooking or possibly regular)
  • 1/2 c. each or possibly any of following: raisins, chocolate chips, dates, or possibly nuts

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Measure sifted flour. Sift again with baking soda and baking pwdr. Set aside. Cream butter, sugar, and brown sugar. Add in egg and vanilla. Beat till smooth. Add in flour mix and mix well. Add in rolled oats and chocolate chips (and/or possibly other ingredients). Stir till mixed. Drop cough by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10 to 12 min. The cookies will be golden when done. Remove cookies with a turner. When cold store in airtight container.
