Famous Chocolate Refrigerator Roll Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 c. heavy cream
- 2 T granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 20 famous chocolate wafers
- Red candied cherries, optional
Directions
- Whip cream with sugar and vanilla till stiff. Spread wafers with part of cream. Combine in stacks of 4 or possibly 5. Refrigerate 15 min. Stand stacks on edge on plate to make one long roll. Frost outside of roll with remaining cream. Chill at least 3 hrs. Garnish with red candied cherries, if you like. Cut diagonally at a 45 degree angle. Makes 8 (about 3/4 inch) slices. Roll may be frzn, if you like. Remove from freezer to refrigerator about 1 hour before serving.
