The box of Fusilli told me to marry it with the Barese sausage I got from St. Lawrence Market. The mixed pitted olives (green and kalamata) and sun-dried tomatoes came in handy too to invoke a whole lot of flavors in my dish.

M husband loves this dish. I use hot Italian sausage, but you can also use the sweet variety. Becasue there are only 2 of us, I make to smaller casseroles instead on the one larger, and freeze the second one. This freezes wonderfully.

A hearty well spiced satisfying main course soup. Traditionally there is no meat in Pasta E Fagioli but I like it with sausage. I also prefer no beans (I know,I know) you can add a can of white beans the last ½ hour of cooking time if you would like. I should think of another name for this but for now here it is……
