Caramel Popcorn With Nuts (Poppy Cock) Recipe

  1. Place popcorn in large roasting pan. Fold in nuts. Set aside.
  2. Preheat oven to 250iF.
  3. In heavy sauce pan, mix sugar, butter, corn syrup and salt. Over medium heat, stir till boiling. Continue to boil, without stirring, for 5 min. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla, then baking soda (it will foam up). Pour over popped corn and nuts; mix well to coat.
  4. Place in oven for 1 hour to 1 hour and 10 min. Stir every 15 min while baking.
  5. Cold, break apart and store in a tightly sealed container.
  6. NOTES : Yield is about 16 c.. Serving size is 2 c. per person.
