Sweet Yellow Cornbread

Ingredients

  • 1-1/4 cup milk
  • 6 Tbs butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1-1/4 cups yellow cornmeal
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Sweet Yellow Cornbread

Time: 10 minutes prep, 30 minutes cook
Servings: 12
 

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350. Grease bottom and side of pan. I used an 8x8 inch pan.
  2. Mix milk, butter and egg in large bowl. Stir in remaining ingredients just until moistened (batter will be lumpy). Pour batter into pan.
  3. Bake 30 minutes or until golden brown and toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
