Ingredients
- 2/3 c. butter
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. water
- 4 c. semisweet chocolate chips, divided
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 4 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt

Rich Chocolate Brownies
Time: 15 minutes prep, 35 minutes cook

Directions
- In a heavy saucepan, bring butter, sugar and water to a boil, stirring frequently. Remove from heat. Stir in 2 cups of chocolate chips until melted. Let cool a little. Beat in vanilla.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat eggs. Gradually add chocolate mixture, mixing well. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to chocolate mixture. Stir in remaining chocolate chips.
- Spread into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking pan. Bake at 325 F for 35-40 minutes, until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack. Cut into bars.
