Ingredients
- 2/3 c. Lowfat milk
- 1/4 c. Water
- 1/4 c. Butter,softened
- 1 lrg Egg
- 3 c. Bread flour
- 1/4 c. Granulated sugar
- 1 tsp Salt
- 2 1/2 tsp Bread machine yeast
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Sugar, if you like

Directions
- Put all ingredients in bread machine baking pan except vegetable oil in order recommended by manufacturer.
- Select Dough/Manual cycle. Don't USE DELAY CYCLES
- Roll dough 3/8-inch thick on a lightly floured board. Cut with floured doughnut cutter. Cover and let doughnuts rise on board 35-45 min or possibly till slightly raised.
- Heat 2-3" of vegetable oil in deep fryer or possibly heavy 3-Quart. saucepan to 375 degrees F. Fry 2 to 3 doughnuts at a time 2-3 min, turning as they rise to the surface, till golden. Remove from oil with long fork or possibly slotted spoon. Drain on wire rack. Roll hot doughnuts in granulated sugar.
