Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lamb, ground (beef may be substituted)
  • ½ lb. macaroni, dried
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • ¾ cup Mornay sauce
  • ½ cup onions, diced
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbs. oil
  • dash salt
  • dash black pepper, ground
  • dash nutmeg, ground
  • dash cinnamon, ground

Time: 2 minutes prep, 21 minutes cook
Servings: 4
 

Directions

  1. Put the macaroni in four cups of water and cook for eight minutes at 950 watts. Let stand.
  2. Cook the meat and onions, covered, for three minutes at 650 watts. Drain the grease and crumble the meat.
  3. Coat the bottom of a casserole dish with the oil. Strain the macaroni. Beat an egg and mix with half of the macaroni, then pour this into the dish.
  4. Mix the spices into the marinara sauce. Add the meat and onions, and then pour the mixture over the macaroni.
  5. Beat the remaining egg and mix with the remaining macaroni, then pour it over the meat and tomato sauce. Pour the Mornay sauce on top of this, then cook, uncovered, with 950 watts for ten minutes.
