Ingredients

  • Salad
  • 16 ounce Manoa lettuce
  • 1 x recipe Salad Dressing see below
  • 8 Tbsp. pine nuts toasted
  • 8 Tbsp. Roquefort cheese crumbled
  • 24 x rings Maui onion Dressing
  • 1/3 c. wine vinegar
  • 1/3 c. extra virgin extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/3 c. mango preserves
  • 1 Tbsp. Dijon Country Mustard
  • 1 tsp fresh basil minced salt to taste fresh grnd black pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Toss the dressing with the Manoa lettuce till coated. (1 lb. of Manoa lettuce will make 8 servings.) Plate the salad with a sprinkle of pine nuts, crumbled Roquefort cheese and onion rings.
  2. Dressing:Mix all ingredients, except the oil, in a clean, wide mouth, used mayonnaise jar which can accommodate a Braun hand mixer. Just before serving, blend the dressing*IN* the container with the Braun. Slowly add in the oil in a thin stream. Toss with greens and serve.
