Grandma's Moist Bread Turkey Stuffing

Grandma's good old fashioned moist bread turkey stuffing to suit a 12 to 14lb bird

Ingredients

  • ! cup butter
  • 2 cups diced celery
  • 1.5 cups chopped onions
  • 1/4 cup minced parsley
  • 2-1/4 tspns salt
  • 2 tspns poultry seasoning (Vegeta chicken stock powder)
  • 1/2 tspn pepper
  • 18 cups bread cubes (Irish Soda Bread recipe to follow)
  • 3 eggs, slightly beaten

Directions

  1. n an 8 quart dutch oven or saucepan add butter over medium heat
  2. Add celery and onion and cook for 10 minutes, stirring often
  3. Then add parsley, salt, seasoning and pepper
  4. Mix well
  5. Remove from heat and add bread and eggs
  6. Mix well
  7. Makes about 10 cups stuffing for a 12 to 14 pound bird
